Finding nice classics has never been easy and it can be a real minefield on the open market. Do you buy privately at auction or come to a classic car specialist? Unfortunately the first two options do come with some major draw backs and the saying you get what you pay for has never been more true. Whether its mechanical or condition issues, its best to seek the help of the professionals.

Buying privately or at auction you can be left with a hefty hole in your wallet once you have your dream car back home and it can turn quickly into a nightmare. While its nice to always give the benefit of the doubt to private sellers when a problem occurs, Its not always the case and good luck getting any help from auction houses after you have paid the auction buyer fees.

When sourcing cars we have our own check lists and although its rare for all the boxes to be ticked making sure the car is mechanically and structurally sound is our main concern.
